Spring 2020 case report competition
We regret to advise that the case report competition has been postponed due to COVID-19. We have contacted directly those who submitted an abstract.
Do you have an interesting or unusual small animal medicine case that you think might be suitable as an oral presentation? SAMSoc invites submissions for its annual case report session during the pre BSAVA Congress meeting on April 1st 2020.
Suitable cases should have interesting discussion points but need not be so unusual that they would be considered publishable. Cases will be selected for presentation based upon their originality, the quality of the medical investigation performed, the validity of the conclusions drawn and the quality of the abstract. This is an excellent opportunity for general practitioners, interns and residents alike to share interesting cases and improve presentation skills in a friendly environment.
Please note the BSAVA’s rules for submitting abstracts for any Clinical Research Abstracts:“ Pa-pers, reports or articles containing the work submitted in the abstract must NOT have been submitted or accepted for publication prior to submission of the abstract. Abstracts must NOT have been presented elsewhere prior to presentation at Congress.”
The audience will select the winning report via a ballot vote at the meeting and the reports will be published after the event on the SAMSoc website. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible for free registration to the SAMSoc meeting.
